Porter Creek Vineyards is small family winery with a rich history of winegrowing based on innovation, independence, passion and respect for the land. In many respects our Estate has the feel of a property that has been unchanged by time and the glitz of the modern wine business. Yet the principles that have guided our formation are well ahead of the time, then and now: balanced wines with soul, low intervention, integrated winemaking, and stewardship of the farm and surrounding environment.

Our Grand Tasting features one Chardonnay and four Pinot Noirs—all grown, produced, bottled and labeled on-site. A sixth “surprise” pour rounds out the experience. You are welcome to join us at our famous wine bar in the tasting room, or sit at one of our 20 outside tables–all offering beautiful views of our property.

We are pleased to offer private vineyard and winery tours with owner and winemaker Alex Davis, whose deep roots in this region shape every aspect of his craft. Growing up on this very property in the 1970s and ’80s, Alex learned grape growing firsthand alongside his father, Porter Creek founder George Davis, and was surrounded by Pinot Noir pioneers like Davis Bynum, Gary Farrell, Burt Williams, Ed Selyem, and Joe and Tom Rochioli. His lifelong connection to these hills gives him a unique perspective on the land and its wines. The 4WD vineyard adventure offers sweeping views and personal insights into his organic, minimal-intervention approach, concluding with our Grand Tasting of estate-grown Chardonnay and Pinot Noirs.
• Tours are designed for between 2 and 5 guests and can alternately be taken on foot (weather permitting) for groups who are up for a brisk hike.

Important access update Wohler Bridge will be closed for renovations from April 6th, 2026 into October. However Westside Road is completely open end to end during this time. The detour for anyone accessing Westside Rd from west bound River Road is only about 6-7 minutes (plus it is lovely drive). Please note that local signage from the county can be confusing, and take note that the GPS maps are not updated timely. You can plan on traveling to visit us by coming from either the Healdsburg entrance of Westside Road, or from River Road (near Hacienda Bridge).
